James Is Home!
Sep. 7th, 2004 01:47 amFinally got James back into California. He was relieved to be out of an airport and out of the humid heat of Detroit. Had a good time at their Renaissance Faire, but says that ours is bawdier. He also got to spend some time with Liz's cousin, Chris who has decided to continue with her chemo.
Last minute before Dad and I ran out the door to drive to the airport I decided to bring along Arthur, the large stuffed bear that James bought me when I hurt my knee several years ago. James loves that bear and I thought he would get a kick out of Arthur coming along to pick him up at the airport. He jumped into the backseat at him when he saw Arthur sitting in the back of the car waiting to welcome him home. Now, admittedly this isn't an out of character adventure for Arthur J. Ursa, he has gone out to a movie and dinner with us at Market Broiler (the staff there were very good sports about that), we took him on vacation to the Point Reyes area with us where he got to get back to his roots and wander through the woods, we took him to the Japanese Gardens in Hayward...it's funny how much personality we've imbued this bear with over the course of our relationship, which will hit its five year mark on November 1st this year. =) Seems like James is really sorry that he missed the Incendio house concert, he wants to borrow the video (once we make it) to show his brother. Sounds as though they want to come back next year though so he may get a chance to see them here.
Going to go hug my travel weary beloved. Goodnight!
