James' Birthday

Today is my beloved's B-day. I had to go to class for part of it, but it's just as well since he needed to do some laundry. He dropped me off and then came back to get me once class let out and took me back to folks place so he could finish up. We hung out there for a few hours, during which he played "Ratchet and Clank" a birthday gift from Dragon. (Dragon- He was so thrilled when he opened his birthday gift from you, he was astonished and thinks you're wonderful. I would have to agree, you give good gift.) I got to see their newest kitty. Well, I'd seen her before, but she was one of five little bundles of mewing fur that were crawling all over each other so she didn't fully register that time. Besides there was a little grey male that was very persistent about needing love and attention so the others didn't have a chance. She's a cute little grey tortoiseshell with a fiery streak of tan/orange on the bridge of her nose and they call her Babs. She is a bundle of energy, as all five month olds appear to be. Very pretty, all legs and tail. Hehehe...I'm sure they needed anther cat, considering all they have living in the house right now are Jean-Tom, Danny, Priscilla, Josephine, Aurora, Pastel, and now Babs. And the slew of feral/semi-feral cats outside. Not nearly enough cats, right? She was the only one of the most recent litter that didn't get adopted so it sounds like she's sticking around at this point. James started commenting, while still playing Ratchet and Clank, that he was hungry. That will happen when your days nutritional intake consists of toast and a soda. Tsk. It's not as though my house lacks in food, my Dad Bar-b-qued last night even. I reminded him that he should finish his laundry, not so much reminded really as asked him whether it was done or not. His brother bowed out of an evening out after a particularly long, hard day at work and we were off on our way to Papillons. It was a lovely evening and we didn't have any trouble getting seated since it was a Wednesday, but I don't think I'll be ordering my entree again. You would think that a pork tenderloin done in a apricot glaze with merlot and red onions marinated in balsamic vinegar wouldn't taste like bar-b-q sauce. I probably should have just stuck with the appetizers, my salad, and then I could have had a dessert. The salad was amazing! Spinach, bacon, strawberries, walnuts, red onion, with a vinaigrette. I had them box that so I can eat the rest tomorrow.
James was pleased with the rubber ducks and the large Kermit Pez that plays the Muppet Show theme show that I gave him today. I wanted to make sure that I had something to give him on his birthday since his hurdy gurdy hasn't arrived yet. At least he knows that it's on the way.
