Hi Petra! I apologize for writing this in a blog comment, but your LJ profile didn't provide a way to email you personally. My name is Shari, and I live in California. I found your profile because I did a keyword search for folks who included "oak trees" in their list of interests. I figured anyone who'd write that in their list is bound to be a cool person at the least, and a kindred spirit at best. :)
I think you're definitely the latter, because when I looked at your other interests, I saw we have a LOT in common, more than I usually have with folks. I also loved the poem in your bio -- did you write it yourself? Alas, I used to write poetry all the time, but my muse is temporarily dormant.
I hope you don't mind I added you to my LJ friends list. I only do that with folks I already know, or whom I would LIKE getting to know. Online friends first, of course. :) Although if you're a fellow Californian, who knows but we might become off-line friends eventually? Many of my off-line friends were folks who, long ago, began as online ones. My first boyfriend was even someone I met online, but that was on a local BBS, back in the safer, pre-Internet days where 2400 baud was "fast". *smirk* The boyfriend was fast as well (at least to the naive 20-year-old I was at the time!)
Anyhoo, I don't want to bore you with my babbles. *blush* So much for "brevity is the soul of wit!" But I really would enjoy getting to know you. And, since you probably want to know what *I'm* all about too, here is my blog link: http://scaryshari.blogspot.com . My email is shari516 at oakmeade dot com . I also have a very detailed user profile here on LJ (Blogspot sucks in that department). I'm pretty much an open book, as you'll see in my LJ profile. :D I'll also be glad to comment on some of your blog entries.
