P-51 Mustang

I found out last night that my Grandfather has arranged another appointment with a P-51 pilot for August 21st. Back in 2003, around the time that I went to Ireland, my Grandfather made the offer to his kids to pay for them to go up in a P-51 Mustang (the planes he piloted during WWII) and offered to go half and half with his grandkids. I couldn't have even considered it then since I had just spent many dollars off in Ireland, but I am doing much better financially now. My share would be three hundred dollars and I think it would be an incredible experience. I'm a little apprehensive about it, worrying that I will be the one person that it's a little too much for and I'll throw up. I don't think I'm really delicate stomached, but I would hate being the one that it upset. I think I've pretty much talked myself into doing it if for no other reason than being a P-51 pilot was very important to my Grandfather and I think it would be wonderful to share in that with him.

The P-51 was the premiere prop fighter plane of all time. It actually rivaled early jets for speed and altitude capabilities. I would jump at a chance to have such an experienc. Good luck!

My digital can do video...I just need to actually read the instruction book to figure out how. =P

If you are really worried about nausea then eat appropriately ahead of time (i.e. not much, no oily/greasy, perhaps just 7-up or some tea for lunch). I can't imagine that it'll be a problem though.

I'd certainly love to give a try at that. I imagine it's something like the difference between older wooden coaters and the modern metal varieties.
