This is how I was able to compensate for being born with Strabismus. I had surgery to correct it before the age of two, I used to wear an eye-patch over my strong eye(left), and had to do eye exercises when I was a wee lass. My eyes never learned how to work together properly. I find, even now, if I am very tired that I have to really focus at having them both look at the same thing. I literally have to apply effort to make my eyes track the same object.
