Don't get me wrong, I think NASA has done some wonderful things, but why are they projecting manned flights to the Moon for 2020?! Gee, slow down there guys. I think NASA is a very important department if for no other reason than the advancements in medicine and technology that evolve from NASA science make it a a worthwhile venture, but I'm tired of us slow poking around. We should be so much further along than we are. Maybe we should start opening it up to the private sector.

Date: 2005-05-01 10:59 pm (UTC)It's sad but true that our government has pretty much given up on space travel. In the long run, and as it gets cheaper, I expect 90% of space activity will be commercial/industrial.
