Friday/ Wedding Shopping
Jul. 19th, 2004 12:50 amAfter getting back from the Oakland Zoo we had a quick dinner (early for us) and then headed over to Bed, Bath & Beyond to check out my cousin, Sean and his fiancee, Megan's wedding registry. Wow. All the linens and things they had registered for were white or "natural"...boring! There were a couple of things that seemed really, really odd to have on a registry. Maybe she was half asleep or just scanning things to check the price, but there was a dollar-fifty foot pumice stone on there. Ick! Scrape together some pocket change and buy your own foot sander! I ended up getting them a chenille throw and a set of navy blue pillow cases.
Once we were finished up there my Mom and sister headed over to Ross and I made a quick stop at Michaels Arts and Crafts. My Dad met up with me there and we headed over to Ross. I hate going into Ross. Every time I do it just serves to remind me of why I refuse to shop there anymore. We wandered about trying to find them and I finally managed to locate them in the changing room and told them we were going to go over to Longs. We shopped around Longs and waited for them and after a bit we were getting bored and walked over to browse Borders. Yes, I go into Borders occasionally. Generally it's before I go to work and I'm bored. Then if I see anything there that I want I go and see if I can get it through B&N. Employee discount! WooHoo! It was getting pretty late and we were really starting to wonder what had happened to them. We tried going back to Longs to look for them only to find that we had just missed them. Dad had begun thinking about taking me back home to be there in case James just headed over without calling after getting off work, but we finally managed to reconnect with them and all head home. Poor James, he was on the front porch when we got there and had been waiting there for about half an hour! I felt so bad! At least I had a cute Sun Bear to give him.
