In recent days I've found myself thinking a lot about picture books I read as a child. I remember one about a little girl that was raised as a witch, but is unhappy about being a witch and it turns out that she is actually a fairy daughter that had been lost. I loved this book when I was little and borrowed it from the school library many times, but now I can't remember what it was called and I would really like to try to track it down. It's probably not even in print anymore.

I love google.

Thanks for the try, but I actually do not think that is it. I seem to remember this little witch being in a household of witches and not liking to play pranks on people or something like that. I was probably in second grade or close to it the last time I saw this book so my memory is a touch hazy on the details.

Anything else that I'm hunting for or can I remember anything else about the book?
It was a very short, simple little book. There wasn't a lot of plot. Heck,. at this point it has been so long I can't even remember how the fairies found her. I think they might have discovered that she was really a fairy child by seeing a star birthmark on her or something like that. I remember that she had a birthmark of some sort that indicated she was fairy born and I think she may have been the fairy princess.
