Calcifer

Went to see "Howl's Moving Castle" with James and Dragon. As always Miyazaki's work is breathtaking and brilliant. The landscapes are stunning (drool) and the characters are wonderful. Calcifer is adorable. We thought we were going to be seeing a subtitled showing, but the dubbing job was very well done. I'll be very curious to see the subtitled version on DVD. Had a less than ideal dinner at Macaroni Grill afterward before heading back home, but it was very nice getting to spend some more time with Miss [livejournal.com profile] dragonluk. Thanks again for driving! ^_^

We went to the one in Dublin because fandango said it was subbed. They were wrong. It's showing in the Union City theatre on one screen, 4-5 times a day, the dubbed version. You must see it!

It would have been nice seeing it subtitled, but the dubbed version was good. =)

I agree, you must go see it! I am going to be so thrilled when it is released on DVD, but you definitely want to see it for the first time on the big screen.

gah! I just saw that movie yesterday in theatres it was only available in Kanata and there was -.x no one there practicly n_n it was so peaceful! I loved all the characters and Miyazaki's work as usual was spectacular and the style and trade marks were awsome like the style trademarkness from Spirited Away (<33333) with the slime and the factories and little creatures and with the female main character and teh unnatural powered guy and the way the hair on the people's heads always spurs when it something smells bad XDD . <33333333333333

I'm glad you got to see it in the theatres. It had a very limited release here in the movie theatres near me. I think it was pulled the week after I saw it.

mhmmm , for the theatre for me too. We had to drive a bit about 20 min. to get to Kanata, the theatre had like 9 er 7 people. It was the only theater in Ottawa and I think they only showed the movie for about a week because the theater place wasn't raking in enough money.=_=

I'm just glad that Miyazaki's stuff is being shown to the public, even if it for only a limited time.
