Today and the last couple of days.

It's off to work today from three till eleven-fifteen. Ick? Oh well. It was very nice being off on Easter Sunday. Probably the first time I've been off on Easter in at least six years. It was wonderful getting to see all my family. James came with me, I'm sure he felt a little awkward since he didn't know most of the people there, but I only see a vast majority of them maybe once or twice a year. Some not even that. It's not as though I know these people all that well either, but we're family and we like gathering together. There are always people there that I don't recognize. I think some of them may be from the church that my Great-Aunt had helped start. They're Christian, I don't know what makes their group different, aside from the women always wear skirts/dresses and once they get married or reach a certain age they wear their hair up. Obviously I'm not very well informed. At least my Aunt Patty was there with her husband and kids and my Grandparents were there. I know James enjoys getting to see my Grandfather. He never got to know either of his. I'm very lucky that I got to know both of mine. I wanted more time with Grandpa Furlong, but he was a part of my life for thirteen years of it and I know he loved me. Anyway, in spite of not recognizing several people at the family gathering I had a good time. As usual, there was a lot of food and there were so many little kids there! So cute! I got to watch them run around the property searching for easter eggs and their personal box of candy. Cute, cute, cute.
As I mentioned, yesterday was good.
Now I just have to work today, then I'm off tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be raining still or I'm going to have to cancel my driving test. Then I work Thursday. Off Friday for my parents' house concert and off Saturday so James and I can go to the Scottish festival at Ardenwood Historical Farm. Yay! We can stay till it's over, if we like, and we don't have to rush me off to work!
