Happy Easter! I had to work (of course), but James followed my Dad up to Sunol in the early afternoon so I could spend some time with my family before having to go in. It was nice getting to see everyone and have James be there too. I have so much family it's hard to keep track of all of them. I think several members of my Great-Aunt's church were there too. I didn't get to be there nearly long enough. I missed getting to watch all the kids search for their Easter baskets. Long standing family tradition that the adults hide the kids Easter baskets in the front yard and the kids hide the chocolate egg for the adults. Of course, this yard is surrounded by trees, ivy, and junipers so you may spend a good half hour wading around in bushes looking for your basket. Some adults, namely mine (Dad), would be evil and hide it part way up a tree or somewhere else impossible to uncover. Since I had to leave for work they just handed mine to me. Bummer. Not nearly as much fun, but it is still chocolate so I'm certainly not going to turn it down! Oooo...there was a couple of creepy jellos there. This is the place that I always have associated with encounters with strange jello molds with various odd additions like marshmallows, shaved carrot, or nondescript fruit chunks, but there were a couple today...shiver...that had Peeps on them. There, floating on top of the jello, were marshmallow Peeps that had absorbed the coloring of the jello. Just wrong! Peeps should not become a side dish for a brunch! My relative that made this is a dear, great lady, but her food contributions were creepy. There were also frosted rice krispy treats. Shiver....
