I was finally able to figure out what the book that I remember from my childhood was called, but as of yet have been unable to track down a copy. The book is titled,"Weeny Witch" by Ida Delage and is out of print. I tried ordering one through Amazon, but after waiting for quite a while they finally contacted me and said they would not be able to fill my order. =(
