Serenity is not rolling in the money.

Awwww man! "Serenity" has only made a little over ten million thus far. We're going to have to do a lot better than that if we want them to make a sequel.

That's it? Wow. How dissapointing. At least they've made up a quarter of what it took to make it. :)

Sigh, yeah. Don't they need to make eighty-million in order for a sequel to be made?

Is that box office tickets only or including the DVD sales of the movie (possibly the tv series too)?

Hmmm....good point. Of that I am not sure. I would think it would be the movie has to make eighty million since it took forty something million to make it. Whether DVD sales would count toward that too I do not know.

hmm I thought it was doing really well!!
I thnk alot of it has to do with the fact that alot fans went to those sneak previews and now arent going to see it again
I know we plan to see at least one more time
at least!

Would they have paid for getting in to see the sneak preview? I think the fans of "Firefly" should haul their bums into the theatre and see it again if they want to see a sequel. Personally I think anyone that is a Sci-Fi fan should march over to a theatre near them and see it to send the message to the film studios that we want Sci-Fi films made.
